Art: Nazirite

(Please click the image for full view)
This was an image that came into my head on September first while Lou Engle was teaching my class.
We were reading 2 Kings 13:14-19, which details the death of Elisha.  Joash, the king of Israel, went to Elisha and wept over him, crying out in sorrow.  Elisha, as a great intercessor, was more of a leader in the nation than king Joash!  Elisha instructed Joash to take a bow and arrows, draw the arrow and shoot it out the open window.  As Joash does so, Elisha declares, ‘The LORD’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Syria!  For you shall fight the Syrians in Aphek until you have made an end of them.” (v. 17)
We have the arrows of victory.  As we prepare to head to Detroit for TheCall Detroit (more on that later) we are armed with power and victory!  Yes!  :D

The Nazirites shall rise!  Their long hair shall billow in the wind and their thin bodies will stand strong and firm on the day of battle.  We shall draw our bows against every device of our enemy; we will be bold and not back down.  God did not give us arrows to simply put them on the wall and admire them—we are to use them and have victory!  The LORD shall reign in Detroit, and we will break down the spiritual forces of evil in Detroit with the power God has given us!

Amen!
